The presence of different anomalies has always been observed by different studies. The value and size are considered one of those factors that affect the stock returns. The current paper examines the presence of value effect in the Indian stock market during the last decade. It also examines that whether asset pricing models (CAPM and three factor models) really explains the returns in the Indian stock market. Fama-French three factor model explains the presence of value and size effect in the Indian stock market.

Nowadays there is a development of the modern power system that led to an increasing in complexity in the study of power systems, and also brings new challenges to power system stability, and especially, to the aspects of transient stability and small-signal stability. This paper discuss an application of STATCOM( Static Synchronous Compensator) and SVC(Static Var Compensator), for effective improvement of power system stability by regulation of system voltage and the comparative study on different features of STATCOM and SVC is made through the review of papers and books such as v-i characteristic of STATCOM and SVC , dependence on common coupling point voltage of STATCOM vs SVC, response time of STATCOM vs SVC, system stability enhancement, V-Q characteristics of STATCOM and SVC cost of STATCOM vs SVC and voltage regulation capability. A comparative study on effectiveness of STATCOM and SVC in improvement of system stability is found that STATCOM is more effective than SVC to ensure voltage stability even if both contribute to power system stability improvement.

Intruders have become the major pain point as far as network security is concerned. Security is a vital element of any network because enormous intimate data is residing on our network and the intruders try to intervene between the host and the network attempting to steal or modify this data. During the past decades several soft computing methods are formulated for strengthening the intrusion detection system. In this study, we are concerned about detecting the presence of intrusion and for the same we have used BPN. BPN along with KDD 99[1] data sets of DARPA are analyzed for classification between attacks. The result was obtained with an accuracy of 90.2%.

Persian literature and language has had a huge influence on the pictorial traditions of India especially during the Mughal Era in Medieval India. This paper will not focus on the history of Persian literature per se but its influence on the paintings done during the Mughal Period in terms of literary transactions through orality. By keeping in mind, the illustrations and paintings, HamzaNama has been taken up as the selected text which is actually a different yet engaging manuscript within the Nama tradition. And since the entire project of the HamzaNama is a huge one, only the aspect of theorizing orality has been looked upon in this paper. How orality played a major role in this transaction and transformation from one genre to another.

International Financial Reporting Standard-9 (IFRS 9): Financial instruments came in to force on 1st January 2018. IFRS 9 consists of three phases, dealing separately with the classification and measurement of financial instruments, impairment and hedging. This paper aims to study on classification and measurement of financial instruments and its impact. The findings of the study indicate that the classification and measurement of financial instruments of the new standard are based on the business model and supported by the cash-flow characteristics where the previous accounting standard was built on pre-defined asset class categories. It necessarily leads to the fact that the implementations of IFRS 9 raise the issue of fair value measurement with the changing effect in profit and loss. As a result the risk of income volatility will rise but ultimately the provision of minimizing credit losses will strengthen the financial position of the firm.

A STUDY ON PRODUCT RELATED FACTORS INFLUENCING THE BUYING DECISIONS OF THE CONSUMERS IN PURCHASE OF HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCES Abstract Customers are in a tough spot. Individuals have exposed to different window of information and varieties of products; many great deal of choices and options available in the market place impulse their purchase decision. In a consumption environment, a person chooses a product or a brand, which seems to possess a maximum possibility of the definition or elaboration of his life style identity. Hence it becomes necessary for the companies to identify the product related features which influences the consumers to purchase household appliances available in the market. Factor Analysis technique has been applied to find the underlying dimensions (factors) that exists in the sixteen product related variables. Using the Principle Component Analysis six factors have been extracted and it named as Feature, Price, Quality, Availability, Brand Warranty and Service.
