 Abstract

Internet of Things (IoT) enables network connectivity between smart devices at all times, everywhere, and everything. The routing of information from source to sink is the fundamental component of any large scale network. This network enables more reliability by providing congestion free, less packet loss and reduced delay rate. The redundant deployment of network equipment makes the network utilization is relatively low, which leads to a very low energy efficiency of networks. Non-uniform energy consumption and extensive use of limited energy resources are the common reasons behind developing new energy efficient routing algorithms and protocols. This paper focuses on a comparative study of different energy efficient routing mechanisms which can be used in IoT.

 Abstract

Poverty is a major concern in India, being one of the rapid-growing economies in the world, with a growth rate of 7.6 percent in 2015, and a considerable consumer economy. According to World Bank there are about 179.6 million people who live below the poverty line in India. So it is one of the greatest challenges in India to deal with one of the BRIC nations with such a huge population are seen by many countries as an emerging economy. India has failed to make a significant improvement in its poverty alleviation. Government of India with its concern started various poverty alleviation programs but they have failed to deliver the objectives to the level which is desired. The poverty alleviation programs in India can be differentiated on different basis for rural or urban areas. Most of them are designed to cover rural as it is high in such areas. The programs can be mainly grouped into, wage employment, self employment, food security, social security, and urban poverty alleviation. All these programs were programmed with the one theme to minimize and eradicate the poverty and thus uplift the socioeconomic status at individual level. The subsidized credit used by many countries including India was also a failure because of rising Nonperforming assets (NPA). The microfinance came forward and became the most popular tool to fight against the poverty when the Muhammad yunus a noble laureate from Bangladesh came up with the modern microfinance model called Grameen model. On the basis of that India progressed forward and was successful to make self help groups (SHGs) with the help of NABARD. A number of NGOs and MFIs have also delved into the business. From the past years government and various organizations like NABARD and national banks are thrusting to promote the microfinance at various levels but there is a long way to go because the outreach is too small as compared to the requirement and potential. The paper defines three distinct facets of microfinance, first is microfinance and its history, secondly Growth of microfinance in India from last decade, third is role played by the government of India with NABARD and other National banks in growth of SHGs and Grameen bank. The paper also discusses the evolution of microfinance and its role in global scenario.

 Abstract

In the fast changing business environment, companies became highly competitive, market driven, customer centered and quality conscious. Literature suggests the companies to focus more on its manpower in order to stay afloat in such business scenario. Performance management process helps the organization to earn sustained success. Therefore organizations are continuously trying to enrich its performance management system with the effective and unbiased rating techniques. 360 degree appraisal is one of such appraisal tools which provides an in depth feedback from multiple raters. Gradually this tool is being implemented in many companies. In this paper, an effort is made to study the response of employees of various age, designation and experience groups of an Information Technology (IT) company of Bhubaneswar. The responses of employees were obtained based on various factors such as proper planning, effective execution, feedback, motivation For this study a sample of 89 executives are taken. Convenient sampling method was used to select the sample

 Abstract

Big data is the term for any collection of data sets so large and complex that it becomes difficult to process using traditional data processing applications. The challenges include analysis, capture, curation, search, sharing, storage, transfer, visualization, and privacy violations. The trend to larger data sets is due to the additional information derivable from analysis of a single large set of related data, as compared to separate smaller sets with the same total amount of data, allowing correlations to be found to "spot business trends, prevent diseases, combat crime and so on." Big data is difficult to work with using most relational database management systems and desktop statistics and visualization packages, requiring instead "massively parallel software running on tens, hundreds, or even thousands of servers". Big data usually includes data sets with sizes beyond the ability of commonly used software tools to capture, curate, manage, and process data within a tolerable elapsed time. Big data "size" is a constantly moving target, as of its ranging from a few dozen terabytes to many petabytes of data. Big data is a set of techniques and technologies that require new forms of integration to uncover large hidden values from large datasets that are diverse, complex, and of a massive scale. Big data environment is used to acquire, organize and analyze the various types of data.

 Abstract

Unemployment, in general, is a global problem. Educated unemployment, again, is a sub category of it. Economists from the Classical to the modern-day ones have had a long tradition of intellectual, logical and empirical exercises on this issue of employment-education linkages. The end result, though somewhat vogue, is generally skewed towards a positive relation between education and employment. With the closer and more in-depth studies, it has also become imperative to supplement the relationship with institutional and technological factors in a given socio-political set-up.

 Abstract

Biofilms can be defined as communities of microorganisms attached to a surface. It is clear that microorganisms abide abstruse changes during their alteration from planktonic (free-swimming) organisms to cells that are part of a complex,, surface-attached community. These changes are reflected in the new phenotypic characteristics developed by biofilm bacteria and occur in response to a variety of ecology signals. The main aim of the present study to isolate the potential microbes from the esturina, Gostani River at Bay of Bengal. Out of 310 bacterial isolates G3A, G3L and G3D shows distinct biochemical characters and antimicrobial activity
