 Abstract

Finger vein recognition technology is a new biometric technology, which has the characteristics of the living capture, stability, difficult to steal and imitation, etc. has a wide application space in the field of information security. However, the quality of the finger vein image capture and the accuracy of the finger vein extraction are directly related to the accuracy of the recognition. Finger vein recognition has been considered one of the most promising biometrics for personal authentication. However, the capacities and percentages of finger tissues (e.g.bone, muscle, ligament, water, fat, etc.) vary person by person. This usually causes poor quality of finger vein images, therefore degrading the performance of finger vein recognition systems (FVRSs). In this paper, the intrinsic factors of finger tissue causing poor quality of finger vein images are analyzed, and an intensity variation (IV) normalization method using guided filter based single scale retinex (GFSSR) is proposed for finger vein image enhancement.

 Abstract

Currently vehicular ad hoc network (VANET) is emerging backbone for communication in roads. It can be used for exchanging traffic information and emergency information from the controlling authority of the vehicle. But efficient routing in VANET is very difficult as because of mobility of the vehicle. The wireless links in this network are highly error prone and can go down frequently due to mobility of nodes, interference and less infrastructure. Therefore, routing in ad hoc network in general and VANET in particular is a critical task due to highly dynamic environment. Most of the existing routing protocols are designed for wired and structured network. Cost of sending routing updates is much greater in a wireless network than in a wired network. Managing stable route with less number of routing updates is very difficult to achieve. On the other hand if routing updates sent too often, it will be wastage of battery of mobile car nodes and channel bandwidth. Therefore adopting these protocols in VANET is very difficult if not impossible. Another problem is road structure differs from place to place. In most of the urban area roads have road side unit. But rural interior area do not have road side unit. As per different proposed models topology rapidly changes with time. Main challenge in situation is to maintain the routing path, reduce the overhead and reduce the delay. In our proposed work we have suggested a model where roadside units logically form a doubly link list in urban area. Each RSU controls the vehicular nodes near to its geographic proximity.The interior places which dose not have RSU, is taken care by using cluster based communication. These two structures are interconnected to manage the total communication scenario. This proposed model is much more robust to take of all possible routing situations.

 Abstract

In the present work, a convergent-divergent nozzle is aerodynamically designed. The structural loads of the fluid flow nozzle and the temperature of the fluid in it. Initially, the CFD simulation is performed with thermal considerations in the NPR range of the nozzle. Furthermore, the CFD result is used as a load in the nozzle structural analysis. Nozzle is working in the NPR range in its NPR design service. The maximum load on the nozzle structure can occur at any NPR flow value. The problem associated with the design of the nozzle structure is the prediction of the load at various nozzle pressure ratio intervals. It is difficult to find and solve this problem analytically. Experimentation will lead to a more expensive investigation. Therefore, a calculation method is needed to find the load in different NPRs. The maximum load of the CFD simulation is used for structural simulation to complete the nozzle thickness. The interaction of the fluid structure (FSI) is the interaction of some mobile or deformable structures with an internal or surrounding fluid flow. The interaction fluid structure can be stable or oscillatory. The problems of interaction of the fluid structure and the problems of multi physics in general are often too complex to be solved analytically; therefore they must be analyzed by means of experiments or numerical simulations.
