Background & Objectives: Many students find ophthalmology clinics uninteresting and cannot understand and appreciate clinical findings. Therefore, they have poor clinical acumen, perform poorly in exams and dont wish to pursue this field further for postgraduation. Modification of clinical training program using audio-visual aids in addition to conventional bedside teaching may stimulate students interest in the field, enhance their understanding of subject and improve their performance in exams. This study aims to analyse effect of audio-visual aids in conjunction with bedside teaching on the learning process and experience of undergraduate students attending ophthalmology clinics. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted where 69 6th term MBBS students attending ophthalmology clinical postings were randomly divided into two groups. For one group ophthalmology clinics was delivered by conventional bedside teaching while for the other it was supplemented with audio-visual aids. At the end of one month both groups were assessed by means of OSCE and viva voce examinations. Students were given feedback forms and asked to score the teaching program on scales of 1 to 10 (1-poor, 10- excellent) on basis of criteria such as usefulness and content relevance. Results: There was no statistically significant difference in mean internal assessment scores. Bedside teaching with audio visual aids had statistically significant higher overall mean score of positive feedback. Conclusion: This study suggests though bedside teaching is quite effective on, the use of appropriate audio-visual aids as a supplement and not as a substitute to conventional bedside teaching could enhance the students learning experience.

The future goal for a smart city is to have a cleaner society. One of the crucial factor to be considered while implementing a smart city is excellent underground drainage system management. Drainage system monitoring plays a significant role in keeping the city clean . In fact, most of the rural areas does not even have drainage monitoring team Manual monitoring is not the most effective way for drainage management. Manual monitoring also takes more time to solve drainage problems due to slow handling of these drainage problems. So to tone down all these issues, the system using arduino consisting sensor nodes is implemented. This paper represents the application and implementation of a smart and real-time Drainage Monitoring System . The manholes present inside the drainage will have a module which has a arduino interfaced with gas sensor, flow sensor, NRF. The system will monitor if the blockage is occurred in the drainage or rise in the toxic gases. The proposed system is low cost, low maintenance, it works in real time and alerts the managing station through a message when any of the manhole exceeds itsthreshold values. This system will reduce this risk and will also benefit for public health and safety.

Teacher transfer intention, precursor to any formal expression of teacher transfer requests, if actualized, destabilizes staffing. In USA, between 2001 and 2010, teacher transfer requests was at an annual average of 13%, in Lesotho it was at 19%, while in Kenya it was 3.1%.These requests were high with those still pending in Mbita and Suba public secondary schools at an annual average of 25.4% and 22% respectively above Homabay County average at 11.1% for the period 2009 to 2014. The fact that an average of 30.9% of annual requests were to schools within these sub-counties with similarly difficult socio-geographical characteristics, over the national rating of 9.4%, implies that transfer intention could be associated with work-place conditions unique to schools. In this respect, literature reveals that a positive human environment may override geographical hardships. A baseline survey in 2015 revealed that 252(89.6%) teachers had transfer intention, 73(28.9%) preferring other schools within these sub-counties. The purpose of this study was to determine relationship between school work community interactions and teacher transfer intention in public secondary schools in Mbita and Suba sub-counties. The study was based Job Demand-Resources model(Bakker & Demerouti, 2006). The study employed descriptive survey and correlational research designs. The study population consisted of one County Staffing Officer, 66 headteachers, and 252 teachers with and 29 teachers without transfer intention. Purposive sampling technique was used to select one County Staffing Officer and 66 headteachers, and saturated sampling technique for 232 teachers with transfer intention and 26 teachers without transfer intention. Questionnaire, interview schedules and document analysis were used for data collection. Content validity of instruments was ascertained. Reliability of instruments were determined through test-re-test method and a Pearson-r of 0.721 for teacher with transfer intention and 0.716 for teacher without transfer intention questionnaire at a p-value of 0.05 was considered acceptable. Quantitative data from closed-ended questionnaire was analyzed using descriptive statistics in the form of frequency counts, percentages and means, while regression was used for inferential statistics. Qualitative data from interviews was analyzed on an on-going process and categorized into themes and sub-themes as they emerge. The study findings were that at an Adj.R2 of -0.071 with a statistical significance of 0.000, ?0.05 for school work community interactions, there was a negative significant relationship with teacher transfer intention. The study may be useful to educational policy makers and administrators in addressing teacher work-place conditions management malpractices and human deficiencies for enhanced job performance and staff stability in public secondary schools in Mbita and Suba Sub-counties in Kenya.

Human resource information system is fundamentally a connection between human resources (HR) and data technology through a HR software solution. The HRIS is a software or online solution for the data entry, data tracking, and data information needs of the Human Resources, payroll, administration, and accounting results within a corporate business. A Human Resource Information System usually should provide the potentiality to plan more efficiently, govern and control HR costs to attain upgrade efficiency and quality in HR making decisions and progress employee and managerial productivity and effectiveness. In most of the times, HRIS will also lead to rise in productivity once it originates in making decisions in HR. The goal of HRIS is to combine the dissimilar parts of human resources, as well including payroll, labor productivity, and help organization into a less capital-intensive system than the executives used to be able to accomplish the activities in the past. Over the past ages, HRIS has qualified significant transformations. The focus has moved from the directorial management tasks to become a strategic partner of the overall organization plan, to a great extent with the strong support of information.

The study investigates the impact of foreign direct investment on industrial output in Nigeria from 1981 to 2018. Specifically, the study was carried out to specifically to ascertain the extent to which financial institutions and institutional quality aid FDI inflow in Nigeria and to evaluate the effect of FDI on domestic investment in Nigeria. To achieve these objectives, the study specified three different models with various independent variables. It employed the Augmented Dickey-Fuller (ADF) and Philips-Perron unit root tests, Engle-Granger two step approach and error correction mechanism which minimize the possibility of estimating spurious relations while at the same time, retaining long run information. Amongst other findings, the research findings revealed that foreign direct investment had an insignificant positive impact on industrial growth in Nigeria. Also, financial institutions (proxied by credit to private sector) had no significant impact on foreign direct investment in Nigeria. More so, institutional quality (proxied by corruption perception index) had an insignificant effect on foreign direct investment in Nigeria. Again, foreign direct investment had an insignificant negative impact on domestic investment (proxied by gross national private capital formation) in Nigeria. The study recommends, among other things, that the government should, through the Ministry of Trade and Investment enact and reform extant laws and policies that could boost the ease of doing business index for Nigeria. This could be done by reinvigorating investment attracting mechanisms in the less invested sectors of the economy such as the mining and quarrying sector.

IoT based bell ringing system for an institution is the main motto of the project. In our project, we use four major components which include IC RTCDS1307, Arduino Uno Board, 16x2 I2C LCD display modules. Arduino is used here for reading time from RTCDS1307 and display it on 16 x 2 LCD display. For alarm indication purposes an electric bell is used, which rings when the alarm is activated. Simultaneously the date and time will be displayed on the LCD module. We have designed the code in such a way that the bell will be activated for every 55 minutes as per the college schedule. We have programmed in such a way that the bell would continue to ring for 10 seconds in every block of our college simultaneously by transferring the information via IoT, which will indicate the students and faculty of the institutions about the completion of a particular session in all the blocks in a simultaneous manner.

In India Insurance Agents belong to the sector that independantly (not as an employee) sell financial products and services. There are over 40 different companies, which offer Insurance in India, under the category of life, medical, accident and non-life products. There are approximately one million agents in India of which 25% are women. This study identifies the various issues and challenges in work and life balance faced by insurance agents. It is unlike other products and services as here it leads to compromise in relationships with famil and friends. But at the same time if the agent becomes tech savvy and manages to become popular in the market then families and friends accept. Else the superstition of someone discussing after life support becomes the major challenge.

Irrigation is a counterfeit utilization of watering the land for horticultural creation. The prerequisite of water to the dirt relies upon soil properties, for example, soil dampness and soil temperature. Compelling water system can impact the entire development procedure and robotization in irrigation, present day innovation can be utilized to give better results. When all is said in done, the vast majority of the water system frameworks are physically worked. These customary methods can be supplanted with robotized systems of water system so as to use their throughput with computerized procedures of water system so as to utilize the water productively and adequately. Customarily, ranchers will introduce this in their fields to do watering process. By the by, these days ranchers need to deal with their agrarian movement along with different occupations. A Wi-Fi module based smart field watering framework give promising answer for ranchers, where there is no need of the farmer during the watering process.
