The objective of this paper to study of heat and fluid flow processes in an artificially roughened solar air heater. Artificially roughness introduce under side of absorber plate of solar air heater in the form of small transverse wire ribs. Solar air heater is a type of heat exchanger which convert solar radiation into thermal (heat) energy. Thermal performance of solar air heater has been found very low due to low convective heat transfer coefficient from the absorber plate to the air. Use of artificially roughness is an effective technique to enhance the rate of heat transfer. This investigation performed on circular section with different values of Reynold numbers range from 3800-18000. Reynold no, relative pitch height (p/e) and relative roughness height (e/d) are chosen as design variables. Two-dimensional CFD simulation is perform using the ANSYS FLUENT version 12.1 .The renormalization group (RNG) k-e model is selected as the most appropriate once. Comparing the results obtain by our study of CFD approach of circularsections with different rib pitch (p) and roughness heights(e)of Reynold number range 3800-18000.The effect of pitch, rib height, relative roughness height(e/D), relative roughness pitch(p/e) on Nusselt number and friction factor have been discussed and the result compared with rough duct and smooth duct under simpler flow conditions. Nusselt enhancement factor and friction enhancement factor of roughed solar air heater have been optimized the considering the thermo-hydraulic performance. Maximum Thermo-hydraulic performance have been found 1.72 of circular transverse wire rib section at p=10 mm, e=1.4 mm, and e/D=0.042.Hence these values are chose best design dimensions of circular section.

Medicinal plants are the treasure house of potential drugs. They possess anti inflammatory, anti helminthic, anti pyretic, analgesic and anti cancer properties. Leucas aspera is one among them. It is commonly used as anti pyretic and insecticide since ancient times. The leaves of Leucas aspera is used for healing of wounds since ancient times. The present study aims to isolate wound pathogens from clinical samples and to prepare herbal lotion using the leaves of Leucas aspera. This study also determines the effect of herbal lotion on wound pathogens by Agar well diffusion method. The pathogens such as Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Escherchia coli were successfully isolated. The herbal lotion inhibited Pseudomonas aeruginosa, followed by Staphylococcus aureus, and Escherchia coli. The results suggested that has potential effect over wound pathogens and can be used as ointment for wound infections.

Bioactive components play a vital role in curing medical ailments. Medicinal plants harbour more number of bioactive components. Abutilon indicum is one of the renowned medicinal plants which contain numerous bioactive components. The whole plant is used to treat many diseases. The present study aims to determine the phytocomponents by qualitative and quantitative analysis of stem of Abutilon indicum in different solvenrts like methanol, ethanol, chloroform, petroleum ether and aqueous. The qualitative analysis of the stem showed the presence of alkaloids, steroids, flavonoids, saponins, phenols, tannins, aminoacids, carbohydrates and reducing sugar. The quantification of the compounds like alkaloids, flavonoids and phenols were estimated. The result confirms that the stem of Abutilon indicum contain essential bioactive components which are helpful in the preparation of medicinal drugs.

Medicinal plants are the greatest gift to human beings. Infantile diarrhoea is one of the most common diseases among children. Medicinal plants are used from ancient times to cure infantile diarrhoea. In this regard, Abutilon indicum and Cyanodon dactylon are among them. The aim of the present study to determine the preliminary phytochemical screening of both the leaves of Abutilon indicum and Cyanodon dactylon in different solvents like methanol, ethanol, chloroform, petroleum ether and aqueous by both qualitative and quantitative analysis. Phytoconstituents such as alkaloids, terpenoids, flavonoids, saponins, carbohydrates, and proteins were identified from both samples. The quantification of flavonoids, alkaloids and phenols were done. The results suggested that Abutilon indicum possess more phytoconstituents compared with Cyanodon dactylon.

Herbal medicines act as a treasure and thus play an important role in primary health care in many developing countries. One such herbal medicine is Pergularia daemia. The roots of Pergularia daemia are found to have more medicinal properties. The present study deals with the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the roots of Pergularia daemia in different solvents. The qualitative analysis of the roots showed the presence of alkaloids, steroids, saponins, phenols, tannins, aminoacids, cardiac glycosides, carbohydrates and proteins. The quantification of the compounds like alkaloids, flavanoids and phenols were done. This study deals with the separation of compounds present in crude methanolic extract of Pergularia daemia leaves by High Performance Liquid Chromatography. The results suggested that the roots of Pergularia daemia has significant phytocomponents and can be used as a curative for many medical ailments. HPLC shows the presence of five major peaks and exhibited the presence of five major components in the methanolic extract of the leaves.

Abstract The study of Place-names with a distinguished past plays an important role in linguistic, archaeological and historical research. As an interdisciplinary study of place-names, research takes into account historical folkloristic, linguistic, geographical and ethnological data. Place-names thus reflect not only physical characteristics of the place, but also characteristics of the people who live there; they may provide insights into cultural, linguistic, historical habits and spatial, environmental perception. In the present work materials gather from the original sources like copper plates, stone inscriptions, temple wall inscriptions of the Suryavamsi dynasty of Odisha. I have given attention to find spots of the inscriptions, the actual meaning of names, identification of place names, classified the institutional places in different section ie desa, visaya etc. Further all place names have been analyze into different groups like place names after a person, event, customs, animals, flower, geography and many more.
