According to Indian Standard codal provisions for earthquake considerations it has been found that many structures located in seismically active zones are not capable of withstanding seismic waves. Moreover the seismic behaviour of the existing buildings is affected due to design deficiency, construction deficiency, additional loads, additionalperformance demand, etc.During recent Earthquakes it is observed that the principal cause of collapse of many moment-resisting frame buildings is because ofthe Shear failure ofbeam – column joints. In a view of improving the seismic performance of existing structures, enormous number of research works have been carried out to developvarious strengthening and rehabilitation techniques.During future seismic activitiesRetrofitting processreduces the vulnerability of damage of an existing structure. It aims to strengthen a structure to satisfy the necessities of the current codal provisions for seismic design. In recent years it has been found that among various retrofitting methods, seismic retrofit with FRP materials has gained notable acceptance. Retrofitting with FRP materials is now extensively being used as a seismicretrofitting method and it is a technicallysound and cost effective repairing technology. In this paper, it has been reviewed the possibilities and methods in practice for wrapping the beam column joints. This paper also summarizes the scope and uses of FRP materials such as carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) and Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer(GFRP).

Friction stir welding process have been well accepted in the field of Welding. While performing FSW on experimental basis the plate size considered is 100 x 100 x T, here T is thickness of plate. The facts found while designing and experimenting were interesting. The development phase have given exposure to points which have not been considered while constructing fixtures for holding plates while carrying experimentations. The effects found on plate while changing parameters have also changes the results. Here design have been trialed for various experiments and on basis of practical understanding of problem physics one design have been finalized for further experimentations. Experimentations have been carried and with Multiphysics problem have been solved. On basis of practical and Multiphysics data design have been presented.

In today‟s world of information, tons of data exist for everyone. The processing power and storage power has increased dramatically in last decade and now we have capacity to store this large amount of data. The motivation behind storage and processing of this data is to produce knowledge from them. Classification algorithms are widely used to extract knowledge from available data. This paper focuses primarily on some most frequently used classification techniques in data mining. In this paper most popular classification techniques like Decision Tree, K

Social media is defined as web-based and mobile-based Internet applications that allow the creation, access and exchange of user-generated content. Social media, Internet-based tools that promote collaboration and information sharing can be used in academic settings to promote student engagement and facilitate better student learning. Online social networking (OSN) sites, such as Facebook, Twitter and Myspace, are used on a regular basis by many millions of people. Social media has very popular among young adults over the last decade. It provides an opportunity for students to expand their learning environment, which in turn helps to strengthen the creative learning process. A growing body of research has examined the usage of social media and effects of using social media on the social capital communication and interpersonal relationships and self-concept among college students. This study aims to describe the usage of social media as an educational tool among students. It also aims to look at predictors for students’ perceived helpfulness and the use of social media in education.

This paper argues that among all other spaces, pedestrian streets in a university campus also serve as “informal creative spaces”, where people meet each other while walking, crossing or simply standing and talking to each other. The study proposes a three-level approach to assess the street scapes of university campuses. First, a walkability audit of the pedestrian streets (sampled sequence) of higher education campuses, using a modified version of the well-established walkability audit tool developed by the Centre for Disease Control, U.S.A. Second, collecting students’ responses on the same influencing factors as used in the audit tool and questionnaire. Third, a topological analysis of the pedestrian streets using space syntax. Finally, a correlation study of the outcomes will be done to understand the factors of walkability relevant to higher education campuses. The syntactic analysis data further backs the findings theoretically. This methodology ensures the importance of pedestrian streets as an ‘informal meeting space’ within higher education campuses by relating walkability to social interaction and creative exchange in higher education campuses. Increased social interaction and liveliness through increasing walkability of pedestrian streets within higher education campuses, and establishing the role of mobility networks in overall campus creativity. The outcomes of the study can be useful for architects and planners to convince the management and decision makers to invest in building and developing pedestrian networks and facilities.

Comparative performance analysis of single mode fiber (SMF) channel and wireless optical communication (WOC) channel is simulated in this paper. The link is operated for the same distance considering two channel schemes. The performance is measured in terms of bit error rate, quality factor and considering eye pattern. Simulation work is done using optisystem software.

Friction Stir Welding (FSW) is a novel green solid state joining process. This joining technique is energy efficient, environment friendly, and versatile. The Principle advantages are fine microstructure, low distortion, absence of melt related defects and high joint strength. FSW parameters like tool rotational speed, welding speed and axial force play an important role. In this paper, literature on FSW has been reviewed, the gaps have been identified.

The telecommunication Industry was started almost in 1800 B.C through pigeons and beacons. In India, telecom authority was under government in earlier stage, later private organizations comes into the telecom Industry. Innovations in the telecommunication Industry keep on changing the current practices of the sector. The growth of the telecom business is followed with the innovations of smartphones, laptops, tablets and other teleservices. As the growth rate increases, more employment opportunities available for skilled people. Bharath Sanchar Nigam Ltd. is a public sector organization came into existence in India. BSNL created its own image in the telecom industry. BSNL has its main head office at New Delhi. It has 4 major circles in cities such as Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai and Noida. It is important to investigate the factors that influence customer loyalty and necessary to understand the psychological commitment towards the brand. It may helpful to understand the intention and feeling of customers towards the service offered. It also clearly defines that customer loyalty is depending upon organization actions to hold the customers for repeat purchase in long term. The study clearly indicates the Organization responsibility is very much important to understand the demands of customers as well by getting feedback about their products and services. The study mainly deals with the customer loyalty towards broadband services offered by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, Vijaynagar, Bangalore. The research will helpful in order to identify the customer base who are loyal to the service offered and also identify the factors that are influencing the customers in all the way. It specifies the importance of customer acquisition and retention in long run. The study also covers the customer perception towards the service by understanding their intention as well as feeling towards the broadband service. It also explains the efforts/customer loyalty and retention programs an organization can put forth to retain its customers. The study gives an insight about the customer opinion towards loyalty programs and suggest the ways to attract new customers inorder to survive in the competitive marketing environment.

The choice of curricular stream at the pre-university colleges plays a significant role in achieving their aspirations. A sample size of 60 boys, 40 girls; 63 boys, 56 girls; 89 boys, 64girls were randomly, proportionately selected from Shahapur, Shorapur and Yadgir taluk Pre University colleges of Yadgir district in Karnataka for the present study. The study found that Gender has no role in the student’s choice of curricular stream at the Pre University stage in Yadgir district of Karnataka state while as reasons like PU Colleges demand huge donations, doesn’t offer co-education and PU Colleges did not have adequate facilities have no significant bearings on the choice of stream at PU stage. The females and males in almost all streams were not self motivated in choice of stream at Pre University stage, most of the occasions they were influenced by teachers, only father, both parents, friends etc.,
