 Abstract

Peripartum cardiomyopathy is a life-threatening disorder of unknown aetiology that occurs in the last month of pregnancy or in first five months post-partum with absence of determinable cause for cardiac failure and absence of determinable heart disease. The disease is relatively uncommon with an estimated rate of 1 in 3,000-4,000 deliveries and its incidence is getting increased nowadays. The diagnosis of this entity is often difficult and it requires a high degree of clinical suspicion since majority of the cases in puerperium with cardiac failure (acute LVF or cardiac arrhythymias) and are often the cause for maternal mortality. Therefore it is essential that when aetiological risk factor is present in a case or whenever clinical suspicion arises, 2D echocardiogram be suggested to diagnose peripartum cardiomyopathy. Early diagnosis facilitates immediate intervention, which will prevent maternal morbidity, mortality and it also helps to team up with an internist or cardiologist to provide effective treatment to the patient. In this regard the present study was conducted to review the role of routine 2D echo in high risk antenatal women and it also throws light on the role of this noninvasive modality to diagnose cardiomyopathy of pregnancy and puerperium. The aims and objectives of the study are to evaIuate the role of 2D ECHO in diagnosing peripartum cardiomyopathy and to assess its prognostic value for a better maternal and fetal outcome.

 Abstract

Mobile Cloud Computing (MCC) which combines mobile computing and cloud computing, has become one of the industry buzz words and a major discussion thread in the IT world since 2009. As MCC is still at the early stage of development, it is necessary to grasp a thorough understanding of the technology in order to point out the direction of future research. With the latter aim, this paper presents a review on the background and principle of MCC, characteristics, recent research work, and future research trends. A brief account on the background of MCC: from mobile computing to cloud computing is presented and then followed with a discussion on characteristics and recent research work. It then analyses the features and infrastructure of mobile cloud computing. The rest of the paper analyses the challenges of mobile cloud computing, summary of some research projects related to this area, and points out promising future research directions.

 Abstract

Growth and diversification of Non-banking Financial Companies is an integral part of the development process of the financial market of the economy. NBFCs and unincorporated bodies have been competing and complementing the services of commercial banks since yester-years all over the world. While the financial system in a country generally develops through a process of gradual evolution, it has been observed that there was a stage in evolutionary process wherein the growth of NBFCs was more pronounced than other components of the financial system. In the United States of America, the growth of NBFCs were more pronounced during the first three decades of 20th century and two of the top five commercial lenders are NBFCs and three of the four top providers of consortium finance are non-bank firms. In many countries, NBFCs have been able to serve the household, farm and small enterprises sector on a sustained basis

 Abstract

Electoral politics plays an important role in a democratic society. Elections provide a platform for common man to participate in the political discourse and decision making about their political options. A world where we see newspapers and even broadcast news organisations almost dying, the present study proposes that political communication can flourish through political speeches that are very primitive, popular and persuasive form of communication. Political speeches are the direct and most effective medium to connect with the audience. The election of Bihar, 2015 is remembered for its remarkable speeches, bitter remarks and catchy phrases/slogans. The present research focuses on the persuasion strategies applied by political leaders in their speeches to lure their voters in the state election of Bihar, 2015.

 Abstract

Worldwide, sustainability is the immediate demand of the hour and towards this end use of waste material in road construction is being more and more encouraged so as to taper environmental impact. In the highway infrastructure, a number of originate materials and technologies have been invented to pin down their suitability for the design, construction and maintenance of these pavements. Polythene is one of them. Also considering the environmental factor, due to more and more use of polythenes in day to day business, the pollution to the environment is enormous .The use of polythene materials such as carry bags, food covers, etc. is constantly increasing day by day. Since the polythenes are non-biodegradable, the need of the current hour is to use the waste polythene in such a way that is beneficial for the world The main aim of this study is to focus on using the available waste poylthene present in abundant which can be used economically and conveniently. The use of these waste materials in road construction proves eco-friendly, economical and use of polythene will also givestrength in the sub-base course of the pavement.
