Flat slab are preferred by both architects and clients because of their artistic and economic rewards. This form of reinforced concrete construction gives more rewards over framed structure, they also gives some disfavor because of punching failure and larger deformation. Many researchers proposed that slab should be designed to resist only gravity loads when used in high seismic zones and lateral loads should be carried by lateral resisting system. The load transferred path changes due to the excision of beams. But, the safety of buildings is to be checked. But from the past history it can be concluded that the flat slab is very susceptible to criticism for earthquakes. The floor system resists the GL (DL and LL) acting on it and transmits this to the vertical frames of buildings. In this process, the floor system is subjected to flexure and transverse shear, whereas the vertical frame elements are subjected to axial compression, frequently coupled with flexure and shear. The floor also used as a horizontal diaphragms connecting together. Under the action of lateral loads, the floor diaphragms distribute the lateral load to the different vertical frames and shear walls.

Culture and art can connect with, and create affinities between individuals, group and communities in uniquely personal and highly engaging ways (Di Lees,2013). This study aims to create an alternative painting surface in the arts with the use of corn husk. It presents the culture and heritage of Tarlac Province, on manually and naturally made corn husk as painting surface. In line with this, the research instrument used is qualitative method in which the researcher conducts a preventive measure and process to avoid the deterioration of corn husk as support material for the production of locally-sourced material. In addition, this research generates ideas to promote and enrich artistry, culture, heritage and tradition as well as ideas that can create more livelihood possibilities. As a result, the development process of the selected waste material, which is the corn husk is processed step by step to achieve its prolonged existence by cleansing and soaking in vinegar to prevent molds and bacteria and by placing the pieces directly under the sunlight. The production of the artwork is built combining the pieces of processed corn husk on the cardboard as an effective support in connecting the components of the material into art. The effectivity of the corn husk to use as an alternative painting surface is proven in this study specifically for the artist to explore ideas and for the people that promote environmental advocacies, as well as a means of livelihood that create opportunities to build a unique manner and to produce income in creative and helpful way. Overall, this research would be beneficial to the environment by turning corn husk from waste into a useful material as an alternative surface for art like painting as well as for tourism purposes wherein the culture and heritage of the Province of Tarlac are presented in the produced artwork made of corn husk.

The concept of Live-In-Relationships is gaining acceptance in Indian society, allowing couples to cohabit outside marriage. Though not legally recognized as marriage, it carries various complications, responsibilities, and legal implications. The absence of a specific legislation on this subject has led to the formulation of guidelines by the Supreme Court to regulate such relationships. This paper explores the legal issues faced by females in Live-In-Relationships and the rights available to them under the existing legal framework. While the Domestic Violence Act of 2005 provides some protection to women in such relationships, there is a need for further recognition and protection of their rights. The Justice Malimath Committee Report of 2003 recommended amending Section 125 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to include women living with a man "like his wife" for a reasonably long period within the definition of "wife." The objective of this project is to analyze the rights and remedies available to female partners in Live-In-Relationships and identify the existing legal loopholes. By exploring relevant court judgments and legal provisions, this study suggests measures for better safeguarding the rights of aggrieved females in Live-In-Relationships

Self-compacting concrete (SCC) has many benefits in terms of production and placement compared to traditional concrete namely, elimination of external or internal vibration for compaction, better flowability, workability and pumpability, as well as increased bonding with congested reinforcement. Moreover, the placement of SCC is faster and requires less labour. The appearance (surface finish), mechanical performance and durability of SCC can be considerably better than traditional concrete. Natural fiber-reinforced polymer composite materials have emerged in a wide spectrum of area of the polymer science. The composite produced from these types of materials are low density, low cost, comparable specific properties, and most importantly they are environmental friendly. The composite materials produced from oil palm fibers and commercially available polymers have offered some specific properties that can be comparable to conventional synthetic fiber composite materials. However, these properties are greatly dependent on the compatibility of oil palm fibers and matrix phase with moisture absorption as one of the critical issues that becomes the drawbacks of the oil palm fiber polymer composite materials. Apparently, it greatly affects the physical as well as mechanical properties of the composite materials. Combination of copper slag as fine aggregate in cement mortars, normal concrete and also as aggregates (coarse) in concrete (high strength). As fine aggregate in cement mortar, copper slag provides good interlocking leading to better volumetric and mechanical quality of different mixes. It was reported that about 50% substitution of copper slag in cement mortar increased the compressing strength highly, slightly increased the density and significantly increased the workability. But the addition of higher amount of copper slag resulted in the decrease of strength due to free H2O content increase in the mixture

Electronic reverse auctions (eRA) have become popular in procurement circles. The Indian government's procurement sector started using eRAs for price negotiation in the new century. The CVC has not yet issued eRA event guidelines. Electronic risk assessments are a procurement "best practice" worldwide. They have become so to automate negotiation, not to put pressure on suppliers to lower prices. In order to win the business of providing things or services with well-defined design, quantity, quality, delivery, and terms and conditions, vendors lower their prices during the auction. The auction determines the supplier. Instead of growing, bids in a reverse auction decline. Standard auctions increase bid values. Online reverse auctions occur. Suppliers submit proposals that become cheaper over time using specialized software. The lowest-priced vendor wins the reverse auction. As bids are dropped, supplier rankings and prices may be revealed. However, their identity is kept private and all suppliers get the same information. This article summarizes the benefits and drawbacks of reverse auctions. It was found that reverse auctions should be utilized alongside other procurement methods and protected to ensure their effectiveness and integrity.

The current study's goals are to provide a quick, accurate UV absorption spectrophotometric method for measuring medicines with low water solubility, such carvedilol, in pharmaceutical formulations and to assess cavtedilol's improved solubility in the formulation. By utilising the hydrotropy principle, the aqueous solubilities of these chosen model pharmaceuticals were significantly (5 to 98 fold) increased in distilled water. Ammonium acetate (6M), potassium acetate (5M), potassium citrate (0.5 M), sodium citrate (1.25 M), and urea (8M) are some of the different hydrotropic agents that can be utilised. Sodium lauryl sulphate and Sodium hydroxide are the least expensive and safest solubilizing agent utilised here. The main goal of the current study is to use this solubilizing agent instead of more expensive organic solvents to extract and dissolve the pharmaceuticals from their dosage forms. Because sodium lauryl sulphate and Sodium hydroxide did not exhibit any absorbance at the chosen maximum wavelength for carvedilol, 241 nm and valsartan 250 nm, there was no interference with the estimation. The analysis's findings have been supported by statistical analysis and recovery studies. The suggested approach is fresh, uncomplicated, economical, accurate, secure, and exact. Recovery investigations confirmed the accuracy and precision of the developed methodologies that were applied in accordance with the International Conference on Harmonisation (ICH) principles. Increasing the aqueous solubility of insoluble and slightly soluble drugs is of major importance. Various organic solvents like methanol, chloroform, alcohol, dimethyl formamide, and benzene have been employed for the solubilization of poorly water soluble drugs for spectrophotometric estimations. Drawbacks of organic solvents include higher cost, toxicity, pollution, and error, in analysis due to volatility. In the preliminary solubility studies, it was found that there was considerable enhancement in the aqueous solubilities

The levels of participation in either of the NGO and GO implemented Water Resource Management areas are not satisfactory, because of some socio- cultural, economic, institutional and physical, technical factors. However, the NGO made Water Resource Management performed comparatively, well. In this regard, several variables are identified for determining the reasons for non-participation. Even though thPrere have been many policy changes in the implementation of Water Resource Management programmes along with the decentralization of power and resource management, there is little awareness about the causes affecting the level and collective action to manage Water Resource Management resources. Under a diverse socio-economic condition, setting up any new institution and have people's involvement is a very challenging task. It is not easy to convince all the beneficiaries to participate within a given period. If the community participation is to be institutionalized, especially over the long run it is essential to rationally analysed the variables affecting community participation.
